Energy poverty and indoor air pollution, to name but two grave realities many European citizens face right now, are the proverbial elephant in the room in dire need to be addressed.
With more than 2/3 of the time being spent at home already before the pandemic, it is of vital importance to connect the dots between the renovation wave, healthy buildings and a healthy society as soon as possible.
One month after Portugal took over the EU Council Presidency, we call on Prime Minister Antonio to further push the renovation wave implementation and allocate time and efforts in the action plans for the European pillar of social rights to address the need for a healthy Europe at home.
